This project was created in response to the 2021 ISTD (International Society of Typographic Designers) brief, Putting Things in Order. The challenge was to identify and communicate an unconventional system of organisation. Through extensive research, I discovered the Art of Placement, more commonly known as Feng Shui.

The resulting publication explores the philosophy’s ancient origins, core principles, and contemporary applications. Included are selected pages from my development book, documenting the development of a bespoke grid system designed specifically for the brief.

The project was awarded a PASS membership by ISTD, a significant achievement and a privilege to be recognised by one of the most respected organisations in typographic design.
